Tohid Tunnel; A Vital Artery of West Tehran

Tohid Tunnel, a feat of modern engineering, connects the bustling parts of west Tehran with seamless flow. This vital passageway symbolizes Iran’s urban progress, creating an essential link within the capital’s dynamic life.

The Tohid Tunnel, as one of Tehran's most important urban infrastructures, plays a significant role in facilitating traffic and reducing traffic congestion on the north-south axes of the capital. Located in West Tehran, this tunnel, by connecting Shahid Chamran and Shahid Navab Safavi highways, has facilitated communication between different parts of the city.

The Tohid Tunnel consists of two separate tubes, each with three traffic lanes and one special lane for emergency stops and the passage of emergency vehicles. This design is intended to increase safety and smooth traffic flow in the tunnel.

The following are some of the salient features of the Tohid Tunnel:

Strategic location: Located in one of the busiest areas of Tehran

Long and wide: With a cross-sectional area of over 305 square meters, it is one of the largest urban tunnels in Iran.

High safety: Equipped with advanced ventilation, lighting, and fire extinguishing systems

Modern design: Use of quality materials and equipment in the construction of the tunnel

In addition to its important role in urban transportation, the Tohid Tunnel is also recognized as one of the symbols of the development of Tehran's infrastructure
